Name: Dennisa Bumgardner (spouse Zach)

Education:  Biblical Studies Certification from the Latin American Bible Institute ('02), Associates of Arts in Liberal Arts from Aims Community College ('11), Bachelors of Arts in Sociology from the University of Northern Colorado ('13), and is currently completing her Master’s Degree in Strategic Leadership from Life Pacific University ('23). 

Occupation: Aside from co-founding and co-pastoring Elevate, she also works for the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel as the Pacific District Administrator and runs an online vintage furniture business. 

Testimony: She is passionate about spending time with her family, discipling young women, helping emerging leaders discover their purpose, fostering authentic relationships, preaching the gospel and partnering with people in prayer. Although she was not raised in a Christian household, she accepted Jesus at age 17 and took a deep dive into ministry. Upon graduation, she went straight into a ministry training program that equipped her to share the love of Jesus through local church ministries, community outreach programs, and short term national/international missions trips. Dennisa was a children’s pastor before she met and married Zach in 2003. Together they have co-led a young adult ministry training program, served as youth pastors, helped their friends plant a church in Colorado and served as Associate Pastors before planting Elevate in 2015. Dennisa and Zach have two incredible teenage children, Abi and Zekey and a fur baby (Shih Tzu) named Tito.
