APPLICATION:
Pinterest Mom: Gotta love those “nailed it” moments right? I don’t know about you, but I’ve had plenty of those episodes throughout this journey we call motherhood. Just when you think you’ve gotten it down, one of those incidents comes to remind you that we aren’t perfect…and that IS perfect.
Like the time I thought it would be a good idea to have “the talk” first (they would be having it at school) with my daughter using hand gestures…yeah, “nailed it”. Or the time that I decided to give my 3 year old a mohawk before a family event…nailed it. I even chalk up the time that I pulled over to the side of the road and cried because my toddler was being a limp noodle while throwing a fit and writhing his way out of his carseat…yep, nailed it again.
These “nailed it” moments are actually teaching moments. In the middle of those struggles we may not see the lesson yet, but there is usually one there. They’ve taught me that I’m not perfect, and I’m definitely not superwoman. They’ve taught me to not take myself too seriously. They’ve taught me I’m just a mom: a mom who is trying her best everyday. Those “nailed it” moments will come and go, but the impression of motherhood will stick with our kids forever—so let’s do our best, together, to NAIL IT!
PRAYER:
Dear Lord, I thank you for every mother. No matter what stage of motherhood they may be in, I pray that we all continue to listen to Your instruction and use every opportunity to grow as a woman of faith and a mother to our children. I pray that we are all reminded that we were created PERFECTLY to be the mother of OUR children. God, You so graciously chose US to be their mothers for a reason. Thank you for choosing us, Amen.
Caiti, as always you “Nailed It”! Brought back many clumsy memories hahaha. LY❤️
